Infinix Zero 5 Pro Specs Review and Price

Infinix Zero 5 Pro Review

One of Africa leading smartphone brands, Infinix Mobility has unveiled its flagship for this year, the Infinix Zero 5 Pro and the base version on November 14.  The Two devices were unveiled in Dubai. It seems Dubai has now become the perfect place for TECNO Mobile and Infinix. The TECNO Phantom 8 was unveiled last month in Dubai and Infinix is following suit to unveil her flagship in the Middle East city.

The Infinix Zero 5 Pro device will be succeeding the Infinix Zero 4 released last year. There is an “Optical Zoom” inscription written beside the dual rear camera. The device has a 2X Optical Zoom and 10X digital zoom capability. Design-wise, It is made of metal at the back but we could not confirm if the front of the device is plastic or metal as we have not been able to lay our hands on it. The fingerprint scanner is mounted at the back for easy access.

There were rumours that the Infinix Zero 5 Pro is bezel-less, well it’s clearly not. Infinix fans would have to wait for the  Note 5 and Note 5 Pro to get the bezel-less experience. Infinix Zero 5 Pro sports a 5.98-inch IPS, LCD capacitive touchscreen with screen resolution of 1080×1920 Pixels. Pixel density on the Zero 5 Pro screen is very sharp at 368 PPI offering thrilling visuals. The display on the Zero 5 Pro has 72.15% screen to body ratio, I think Infinix has a lot to do to achieve a bezel-less display.

SOFTWARE AND PERFORMANCE

Infinix focused more on the interior than the exterior on the Infinix Zero 5 Pro. It houses the MediaTek Helio P25 MT6757CD 64-bit Processor at an Octa-Core 2.6 GHz ARM Cortex speed. It has 6GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage expandable to 2000GB with microSD. I think this is biggest RAM size ever on an Infinix device. Gamers can now purchase the Infinix Zero 5 because of its 6GB RAM and its GPU (ARM Mali-T880 MP2, 900Hz, 4-Cores). Infinix Zero 5 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with XOS Chameleon 3.0 skin.

CAMERA

Finally an Infinix device with dual rear cameras, it was long overdue. Even though I’m not a fan of the “Optical Zoom” inscription, I love the fact that Infinix embraced the dual rear camera trend. The dual rear camera on the Infinix Zero 5 Pro 12MP + 13MP telephoto lens is the same setup found on the TECNO Phantom 8. With expanding image dimensions of 4032 x 3024 Pixels. Expect the best photography ever on an Infinix smartphone, as both cameras would be working together to deliver amazing photos. For selfie lovers, there’s also a 16MP front-facing camera with CMOS Sensor and flash for the best selfies.

BATTERY

Infinix Zero 5 Pro is powered by a 4350mAh non-removable battery, with fast charging feature. You can charge the Zero 5 from 0% to 100% in just 1.5 hours. Now that’s fast charging!

PRICE AND AVAILABILITY

Infinix Zero 5 Pro is already available in most online stores for pre-order for just $320, that’s about N118,000 – N130,000. It will be available in Jumia Nigeria, Kenya and Flipkart in India.

  1. Good phone but I several buts. 2017 has seen reduced bezels but it seems tecno and infinix were asleep. While I do not like the 18:9 aspect ratio of 2017, infinix should have reduced the bezels alot. Second thing is the screen size, while a big screen is ideal for multimedia, handling is affected to some extent and the screen should have been increased only if they reduce the bezels. this size should be left for the note series.Pros of the phone, battery size is excellent and I think the cameras will be great(waiting for your review to confirm) and the storage option is up to date
