Tambo Mobile recently launched their range of devices in Nigeria. The Tambo TA 55 is one of the key highlights of the smartphone unveiled. The TA 55 is an Entry level device from Tambo Mobile Nigeria which from the look of thing will be targeted at those who are on a budget.

Among the features of the phone are 1GB of RAM paired with16GB storage, a fingerprint scanner and a massive 4000mAH battery capacity.

Tambo TA 55 Design and Display

Design-wise, the Tambo TA 55 is made from a polycarbonate material. It houses an 8MP camera at the back followed by an LCD rear camera, LED flash and fingerprint scanner are now closer than before.

The loudspeaker is located at the back which to give a smooth overall feel. It measures 9.15mm in thickness when you turn over to the sides. It weighs 162.2g overall and available in Champagne and Black colours.

Just like what we saw on the TA3, the Tambo TA 55 sports a full view display. The 18:9 aspect ratio breaks boundaries and lets you expand your horizons with a taller and fuller screen. The bottom and top bezel are a little thick as well. It’s equipped with a 5.5-inch HD IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen to bring out clear visuals. The screen has 640 x 1280 pixels in resolution and 268 pixels per inch density. The screen has a 2.5D curved glass on top and stretches up to 78% screen-to-body ratio.

HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE

It houses the MT6580A chip from MediaTek which has a 28nm process technology. The chip has a 4-core processor that clocks at a normal speed of 1.3GHz. In the graphics department, the ARM Mali-400 MP2 graphics is in charge.

You get a 16GB storage space available and you can upgrade up to 64GB using a memory card. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system.

CAMERA

The Tambo TA 55 adopts an 8MP AF rear camera from Samsung. This camera comes with a LED flash and other Internal features like Face beauty, panorama, burst mode, sticker and lots more. While the 8MP selfie camera comes with a LED flash as well for selfies in low light environments.

Network Connectivity and Battery

It supports 2G and 3G internet and can accommodate dual Nano SIMs and a microSD card. It has Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Hotspot and A-GPS, GLONASS.
