Huawei’s Honor is a sub-brand of  Huawei. The tech giant just unveiled Huawei Honor WaterPlay alongside the Honor 7X handset I posted earlier. Huawei is still one of the few Android smartphone makers that still repeatedly push out tablets powered by Google’s OS.

I’m totally loving their newest tablet creation, the WaterPlay is powered by a massive 6660mAh battery for a long lasting entertainment. This was unveiled alongside the Honor 7X smartphone.

Going by its name, the Huawei Honor WaterPlay is water-resistant, with IP67 certified. Which means you can take pictures underwater. Although you shouldn’t go deeper than 1m and not more than 30 minutes.

The Huawei Honor WaterPlay houses the exact same Kirin 659 chipset in the Honor 7X, and there are two versions in terms of memory. There’s one with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in storage and 4GB/64GB combo.

The tablet has a 10.1-inch 1,920×1,200 touchscreen display and comes in both silver and champagne gold colours. It sports an 8MP rear camera, a secondary 0.3MP front-facing camera too, a microSD card slot to enlarge your internal memory, a fingerprint sensor on the home button at the front, a 3.5mm headset jack, and the 6,660 mAh battery can be charged up with 18W fast charging. It runs Android 7.0 Nougat complemented with Huawei’s EMUI 5.1

In terms of Connectivity, you will get an optional LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, and a USB Type-C port. Its dimensions are 248×173×7.8mm, and it weighs just 465g.

It’s going on sale first in China on October 24 in Champagne Gold and silver colours. Pricing should start from CNY 1,999 (about $303 or €256 with the current exchange rates) for the 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and no LTE version. Then CNY 2,399 ($364 or €307) for the 4GB/64GB/Wi-Fi-only version. Finally, CNY 2,699 ($409 or €345) for the 4GB/64GB/LTE version.

Then $364 or €307 for the 4GB/64GB/Wi-Fi-only version. Finally, $409 or €345 for the 4GB/64GB/LTE version.
