Microsoft virtual assistant Cortana’s integration with Skype is now live

Microsoft just announced that its virtual assistant Cortana’s integration with Skype is now available. The feature is now live on both Android and iOS.

Cortana in Skype will be very helpful according to the software giant. The virtual assistant will be able to help you in a lot of ways. Most noteworthy, its in-context assistance which will help you get adequate suggestions, based exactly on what you are chatting about with the other people.

Advanced virtual assistant, Cortana will update you with movie reviews and restaurant options. It will always give you the smartest reply suggestions a virtual assistant could probably offer. It also helps in scheduling events and setting reminders for you.

You will also be able to have one-on-one chats with Cortana when you are bored or depressed. It is now available as your virtual assistant and is also automatically your contact on Skype.

According to Microsoft, you can get answers to your burning questions. Like the name of your favourite movie or the name of the lead actor in your favourite movie. You can also know what exactly the weather will look like on a particular day in details.

It can also help you check your flight status, give you a stock quote, or list the best restaurants available in your area. Cortana also tells you in details about the things around you.

According to Microsoft, Cortana is currently the best virtual assistant you could ever chill with. There’s little to nothing task the virtual assistant from the software giant can’t do.

This is coming after Microsoft executive, Joe Belfiore hinted that Windows phones are dead and buried, this is due to declining popularity of the mobile operating system.

Unfortunately, the integration is presently only live in the United States. There’s currently no statement or information from Microsoft on when other countries will get it.
