ZTE’s Nubia which is sub-brand ZTE has launched two new smartphones, the Nubia Z17S and Nubia Z17 miniS today.
The ZTE Nubia Z17S is the bigger of the two devices with top-of-the-line specs and features. It sports a 5.7-inch screen with 18:9 aspect ratio which will place it among the heavyweights from Apple, Samsung, and LG.
The Nubia Z17S comes in two variants 6 GB with 64GB of storage and 8GB plus 128GB storage. Powering the device is the new Snapdragon 835 which is the same chipset found on Samsung S8, Note 8 and LG V30.
On the other hand, the Nubia Z17 miniS sports mid-range specifications. It has a Snapdragon 653 processor paired with 6GB of RAM. It has an all-metal body with 3D glass finish at the back and sports a 5.2-inch full-HD display with curved glass and Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
In terms of camera, both the Nubia Z17S and Nubia Z17 miniS smartphones have four cameras – two at the back and two at the front.
The Nubia Z17s device has a 12-megapixel Sony IMX362 sensor coupled with another 23-megapixel Sony IMX318 sensor offering up to 2x optical zoom and dual-tone LED flash.
The Z17 miniS has a dual13-megapixel Sony sensors (Monochrome + RGB) with f/2.2 aperture, NeoVision 7.0, and dual-tone LED flash.
At the front, there’s a 16-megapixel sensor coupled with a secondary 5-megapixel sensor. It comes with a 3200mAh battery and with a USB Type-C port.
The Nubia Z17S with 6GB RAM and 64GB model is priced at CNY 2,999, while the 8GB RAM with 128GB storage is priced at CNY 3,999.The Nubia Z17 miniS will cost around CNY 1,999.
