Well, we aren’t surprised. After AnTuTu dropped a hint that the upcoming Oppo R11s will feature an upgraded dual camera, we had a clue that the same thing might happen to OnePlus 5T. And AnTuTu just confirmed the rumour yesterday, releasing mouthwatering specs of the OnePlus 5T.
According to AnTuTu, the device packs dual 20MP + 20MP cameras, meaning the second camera was upgraded from 16MP to 20MP to deliver one of the best photography on a smartphone. AnTuTu also revealed the new screen to be 18:9 ratio, but unfortunately it has the same pixel density as all other OnePlus phones before it.
The new device will also be running on Android 8.0 Oreo OS out of the box, making it the first One Plus smartphone to run on the new OS. Another powerful improvement in this particular unit is its massive 8GB of RAM which was bumped from 6GB. Additionally, its internal storage was also increased from 64GB to 128GB. Amazing right?
We don’t know yet if there will be a 6GB/64GB lite option. But according to sources, the 6GB/64GB version is inevitable. Popular online mall, OppoMart is already taking pre-orders at $550 for the 6GB/64GB version and $650 for the 8GB/128GB version. Looking at the price, you have to agree that’s base on what the OnePlus 5 cost at launch.
Although the camera apertures are listed as f/2.6 and f/1.6 by AnTuTu, offering a brighter aperture for the wide sensor. The same thing with the old version. But then again, the resolutions could be wrong.
It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835, with a minor bump in battery capacity 3,450mAh.
The OnePlus 5T is estimated to be available at the end of November, which sounds reasonable, considering that the Oppo R11s will be available at the beginning of November.
