Infinix Zero 5 vs Gionee M7 Power: Which one will you pick?

Infinix Zero 5 vs Gionee M7 Power Specs Comparison

Infinix Zero 5 has been receiving lots of positive reviews since it was launched by Infinix earlier this month while the Gionee M7 Power is yet to be launched in Nigeria. In this article, the Infinix Zero 5 will be going head to head with the Gionee M7 Power.

Both devices are flagships to the company respectively, but which one has a better overall performance? A better camera? Which one is worth the price tag? Stay with me as both smartphones will be placed side by side before coming at each other.

Infinix Zero 5 vs Gionee M7 Power-DESIGN

The Gionee M7 Power is absolutely breathtaking, it has a premium Bezel-less metal unibody design which reflects light in a subtle way. Whereas the Infinix Zero 5 has an aluminium unibody with a lot of bezels here and there. The fingerprint sensor on both devices are rear-mounted, so you can easily unlock the device.

Infinix Zero 5 vs Gionee M7 Power

If you are going to a more slimmer and petite look, the Zero 5 takes it home. It weighs 197g and is slimmer and measures just 7.7mm slim. While the M7 Power measures 8.6mm and is relatively heavier, weighing 199g which could be as a result of the bigger battery. Nevertheless, Gionee M7 Power has a more classy and flashy design than the Zero 5.

Infinix Zero 5 vs Gionee M7 Power-DISPLAY

The M7 Power is 0.02 inches taller than the Zero 5. Gionee M7 Power sports a 6-inch IPS LCD screen, while the Infinix Zero 5 sports a 5.98-inch IPS screen. None of the devices is fully bezel-less, but Gionee tried and achieved a 77.4% screen-to-body ratio on the M7 Power. Whereas the Zero 5 couldn’t boast of up to 75% screen-to-body ratio.

Disappointingly, the screen resolution on the M7 Power is very poor with 720 x 1440 pixels. While the smaller screen on the Zero 5 has a better 1080 x 1920 pixels. Details on the Zero 5 will also be more clear with its 403ppi compared to the 268ppi on the M7 Power. In this display battle, Infinix Zero 5 is obviously the winner.

Infinix Zero 5 vs Gionee M7 Power-CAMERA

So this might be unfair, going with the fact that Zero 5 has dual rear cameras. Although, the 13MP rear camera on the M7 Power is quite competitive. But with the Zero 5, you can have double the fun, thanks to its 12MP + 13MP dual rear cameras.

The Zero 5 also knocked the Gionee M7 Power out in the selfie camera battle. Infinix Zero 5 boasts of 16MP front-facing camera, which takes better selfies than the 8MP on the Gionee M7. Another easy win for the Infinix Zero 5

HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE

The MediaTek Helio P25 chipset on the Zero 5 is more powerful than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 on the M7 Power. The Helio P25 chipset clocks faster too, at 2.4GHz Octa-core, while the Snapdragon 435 clocks at 1.4 GHz Octa-core.

Zero 5 has a better GPU, the Mali-T880 MP2 is more efficient than the Adreno 505 on the M7 Power. The 6GB RAM size on the Zero 5 is also bigger than the 4GB on the M7 Power. I guess its safe to say Infinix Zero 5 has a better overall performance. They both have the same 64GB storage capacity and runs on Android 7.1 Nougat OS.

Infinix Zero 5 vs Gionee M7 Power-BATTERY

Gionee is famous for their massive battery capacity and 5000mAh battery on the M7 Power didn’t fall short. Just like its name “Power”, which was gotten from its huge battery capacity. Whereas the 4350mAh battery is pretty massive as well but compared to the M7 Power. It doesn’t stand a chance!

Infinix Zero 5 vs Gionee M7 Power-CONCLUSION

Overall, the Infinix Zero 5 is a much better device than the M7 Power. But I still think Infinix needs to improve their design and battery. Gionee M7 retails for $260 (N95,000), while the Infinix Zero 5 retails for $299 (N115,000). Which one will you pick?
