TCL A5 (Alcatel 5) Full Review
TCL are the makers of Alcatel smartphones, but the company introduced this new device in their own name. The TCL A5 or also known as Alcatel 5 is a very classy and breathtaking smartphone, thanks to its tri-bezel-less look.
This is almost like the same display spotted on Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 and the Razer Phone. The company introduced the device at tvche China Mobile Global Partner Conference Forum held in China.
TCL A5 DESIGN
The smartphone was designed mainly with metal and a matte finish, with shining edges. Its fingerprint sensor was mounted at the back of the Alcatel 5 for easy access.
Its available in Black and Gold, other colours might be released as well when it officially hits the market.
TCL A5 DISPLAY
The display on this device is simply amazing at first glance, the tri-bezel-less display is worth staring at. The 5.7-inch display boasts of an 18:9 aspect ratio, with reduced bottom bezels. Offering a bigger and wider viewing experience on the smartphone.
HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE
Inside this beautiful device is a MediaTek MT6750T chipset, clocking at 1.5Ghz 64-bit octa-core processor. The A5 should run smoothly thanks to the 3GB of RAM and a Mali-T860 graphics processing unit.
In terms of storage, there’s a 64GB storage space to store your files, which surely is upgradeable to 256GB with microSD. Alcatel 5 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat OS.
CAMERA
The device sports tri 16MP camera, there’s a single 16MP shooter at the back just above the LED flash, which is above the fingerprint scanner. Then at the front, there’s a dual 16MP selfie camera, capturing your face from all angles during selfie mode.

TCL A5 is powered by a 3000mAh Non-removable battery.

TCL A5 is available for pre-order starting from $299, that’s about N105,000 – N120,000.
