The BLUBOO S2 is a unique smartphone coming with a flipable rear camera which can be used as a selfie camera as well. The smartphone was launched at the 2018 Mobile World Congress alongside the BLUBOO S3 which comes with an 8300mAh battery, dual rear camera and a bezel-less display. But all eyes were on BLUBOO S2, a smartphone with a versatile rear camera.
According to BLUBOO, this was done to achieve a full bezel-less screen with no selfie camera. Well, since the rear camera can do the job of the selfie camera right?
The 21MP camera rotates all the way to the front when you switch to selfie mode. It also goes all the way back to its usual position when you switch back to the main camera. This is really innovative, and one of the best ways to get rid of the selfie camera to achieve a true bezel-less screen.
The device sports an aluminium alloy overall unibody, the flipable rear camera is at the top left corner. There’s a dual-LED flash underneath the camera, while the fingerprint scanner follows suit. At the front, it sports a 6-inch bezel-less display along with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The screen boasts of 2160 x 1080 pixels in resolution and 403 pixels per inch density.
Internally, it’s expected to pack 4GB RAM, 64GB storage space and an octa-core processor. Powering the BLUBOO S2 up is a 4300 mAh battery and it runs on Android 8.1 Oreo. The S2 should be available for sale from April, we will keep an eye out on the device for a full detailed specs review.
