Google Pixel 3 and 3 XL in leak Render, Pixel 3XL to come with a Notch screen
Google Pixel 3 and 3 XL will be unveiled later this year by the search engine giant and the smartphones the first leak has emerged. This is coming after what looks like a prospective case and tempered glass screen protectors of the flagship devices were leaked as well. Well, it seems like the case leak has some truth to it, as the first render shows the Pixel 3 XL with a notch.
The Pixel 3 is also visible as well, according to the leaked image. However, the wallpaper on both devices is the same with the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL released last year. The Pixel 3 and 3 XL are expected to come with the new Android P operating system out of the box with the stock UI. In terms of specs, the devices will sport the trending dual rear camera.
Just like HTC did with the new HTC U12 Plus, and according to rumours, HTC might also get to manufacture at least one of the upcoming camera sensors on the upcoming Pixel smartphones. The HTC U12 debuted at number 2 on DXOMark, thanks to its four cameras (two at the back, two at the front). If we can recall, HTC borrowed it’s HTC’s U11 “Edge Sense” feature to Google, which they reproduced as the pressure-sensitive “Active Edge” frames on the Pixel 2 and 2 XL last year.
As far as specs go, the Pixel 3 XL will be equipped with an 6.2-inch notched screen that dishes out a 19:9 aspect ratio. You should be able to hide the notch and get a 6-inch screen with 18:9 aspect ratio. While the Pixel 3 comes with a 5.7-inch screen with 18:9 aspect ratio as well. Both screens will have the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top. From the photos, we can see that the bottom bezel isn’t going anywhere yet.
Internally, the Snapdragon 845 chip should be on-board with an octa-core processor clocking at 2.8GHz. The smartphones will be released in early October at Google’s annual hardware event. Google will also debut its first Pixel-branded smartwatch series. According to rumours, they consist of three wearable models, as well as the Pixel Buds 2. The new devices will be available in the US in November and globally in December.
