iTel A15 Design

The device looks like the other smartphones introduced as well. It has a plastic rear cover that was designed to reflect light more beautifully. There’s no rear fingerprint scanner at the rear, this might be a little disappointing to some people.

The device measures about 8-9mm in thickness when you turn over to the sides. The rear camera and LED are horizontal at the top left corner, while the iTel logo takes the place of a fingerprint sensor. It was launched in Gold and Black colours.

The phone ships with the standard 16:9 aspect ratio screen, this again might not be too appealing to a lot of people. However, if you need a bezel-less variant, then you can go for the P32 which comes with an 18:9 aspect ratio screen.

Nonetheless, the 5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen on the A15 is clear enough for visuals. It boasts of 640 x 480 pixels in resolution and 195 pixels per inch density for clear visuals.

Hardware and Software

Under the hood, the MediaTek MT6580M chip powers up the device with 4-cores of processor that reaches the normal speed of 1.3GHz. While the ARM Mali-T720 MP2 graphics card handles graphics.

The standard version comes with 1GB of RAM and should handle light multitasking because it runs on Android 8.1 Oreo Go Edition. There’s another cheaper variant of the device that boasts of 512MB RAM space for multitasking. The storage space is 8GB strong, with an option to upgrade up to 32GB.

In the camera department, the 5MP rear shooter comes with a LED flash and other Internal features. When you turn over to the front, the 2MP selfie shooter at the top comes with a LED flash as well.

The A15 doesn’t have support for 4G LTE, nonetheless, it accommodates dual Nano SIMs and a microSD card. It has Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Hotspot and A-GPS.   1. Please, quick important question. Is the navigation bar user adjustable? As in can I remap the position of the back, and multitasking button the way I want?
