Tambo TA2 Feature

Tambo TA2 is a budget-friendly smartphone with Face ID that was launched in India. The device targets those on a budget and comes with a sleek body that looks quite attractive to the youth.

The TA2 is the second generation TA smartphone which is very affordable, just like the Tambo TA3 or the TA4. It has 1GB of RAM, 8GB storage space and supports Face ID.

Tambo TA2 Design

The plastic back cover looks stunning for a budget smartphone, it sports dual curved antenna lines which adds a sleek vibe to the device. There’s no fingerprint scanner anywhere on the device, so you have to depend on the Face ID feature.

At the top left corner, we can see the rear shooter and LED flash in a horizontal position as well. Turning to the sides, it measures 9.5mm in thickness, the loudspeaker is underneath, while the 3.5mm jack and USB port are on top. It weighs 150.7g and available in Black, Champagne, Silver and Rose Gold colours.

Tambo TA2 Display

It has a stylish front no doubt, but the bezels are still pretty enormous and massive. It has three navigation buttons at the bottom bezel, while the top houses the selfie camera, LED flash and speaker grille.

It boasts of a 5-inch FWVGA IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, this small screen has 480 x 854 pixels in resolution and 195 pixels per inch density. The screen has a 2.5D curved glass on top and stretches up to 66% screen-to-body ratio.

Hardware and Software

The Spreadtrum SC9832 chip takes control underneath here. It’s built on a 28nm process technology and has a 4-core processor which clocks at the usual speed of 1.3GHz. In the graphics department, the ARM Mali-400 MP2 graphics card reigns supreme.

You can multitask through your light apps with the 1GB of RAM space available. While for storage, you get 8GB of space and can upgrade up to 64GB using a memory card. It runs on an older Android 7.0 Nougat operating system.

The 5MP AF rear camera at the rear comes with a LED flash for taking photographs. Features on the camera include Face beauty, GIF picture, Panorama, Slow motion video, QR code scanner, audio picture, burst mode, victory gesture and time lapse. Even the 5MP selfie camera has a LED flash as well for selfies in low light environments.

Network and Battery

The device supports 4G VoLTE and can accommodate dual Nano SIMs and a microSD card. It has Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Hotspot and A-GPS, GLONASS.

The Tambo TA2 is powered by a non-removable Li-Ion 2500mAh battery with no fast charging technology. Tambo TA2 is available on shopping stores, starting from $79 to $99, that’s about (N25,000 – N35,000).
