After numerous leaks and speculations, Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 has finally been announced today. The device arrives with a slider camera with a bezel-less display. Meaning you are not going to see any notch on the Mi Mix 3. The device maintains an incredible 93.4 percent screen/body ratio which boasts a massive 6.39-inch AMOLED screen having a resolution of 2,340 x 1,080 pixels.
One of the major highlights of the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 is the sliding mechanism which allows users to choose one of several sounds when opening the slider. You can customize the sliding sound to suit your taste.

The Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 comes with a slider that houses a 24MP+2MP dual-front-facing selfie shooter which allows you to take high-resolution selfie snaps with portrait effect. At the back, you get another dual camera pairing consisting of a 12MP+12MP telephoto sensor. The primary shooter has an f/1.8 lens w1.4-micron pixels, while the telephoto camera has a smaller f/2.4 aperture and 1.0 micron pixels.
Already, the Mi Mix 3 has been put to the test by DxOMark as it achieves a respectable score of 103, 108 for photos and 93 for videos. This means the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 has the same overall score as the Galaxy Note 9 and HTC U12 Plus and only falls below the iPhone XS Max and Huawei P20 Pro.
Xiaomi is also boasting about the Mi Mix 3 low-light capabilities, using multi-frame noise reduction and other image stacking technologies to produce better results at night. The company went ahead to compared the Night mode to that of Huawei P20 Pro suggesting the Mi Mix 3 Night mode outperforms that of its counterpart.
The Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 also arrives with the 960fps slow-mo video with auto background music which is AI-software-driven.
Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 Software and Hardware
Powering the phone is the Snapdragon 845 chipset paired with either 6GB, 8GB or10GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of internal storage. However, there is no SD card support as well as 3.5mm audio. Nevertheless, it comes 10W wireless charging and dual frequency GPS. There will be a model with 5G internet which the company says will be available in the Q1 of 2019.
Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 Pricing and Availability
The Mi Mix 3 will be available in Onyx Black, Jade Green, and Sapphire Blue. The Mi Mix 3 will be available on November 1st in China, starting at 3,299 yuan ($475) for a model with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage which was the same price the 64GB Mi 2S was launched. The version with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage will set you back 3,999 yuan ($575) while the most premium model with 10GB RAM which is called the “Forbidden City Palace Museum” with 256GB of storage costs 4,999 yuan ($720).
