Infinix’s 2018 flagship devices, the Infinix Zero 6 and Zero 6 Pro might grace us with their presence soon. But the question is, what specs and special features are we all expecting from these flagship devices? The production process of these smartphones might have commenced and Infinix will want to up their game this time around.
Their predecessors, the Infinix Zero 5 and Zero 5 pro stormed the mobile world late last year. Gracing us with the dual rear shooters and a 10X optical zoom capability. Well, the Infinix Zero 6 and Zero 6 Pro are coming and a lot more is expected from both devices design-wise.
DESIGN and DISPLAY
The Zero 6 and Zero 6 Pro are expected to build on the design language of their predecessors. An all-metal unibody design is expected. Just like the Note 4, the next flagships from Infinix might come with a fingerprint scanner positioned on the home button. However, it would have been interesting to see an on-screen finger scanner from Infinix, or what do you guys think?
After trying out the full view feature on the recently released Hot S3 device, the Infinix Zero 6 and Zero 6 Pro are expected to be bezel-less as well. But how less bezel-less can Infinix achieve with the upcoming Zero 6 this time around? It’s too early to tell and another possibility is the trending top-notch display, fingers crossed.
We expect the screen to sport a 6.01-inch bezel-less FHD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen. Boasting 1080 x 1920 pixels in resolution and a pixel per inch density of over 400. The screen to body ratio is expected to reach the 80% mark as well.

HARDWARE and SOFTWARE
Will Infinix ditch MediaTek chipset on the upcoming Infinix Zero 6 and Zero 6 Pro? Only time will tell. Anyway if Infinix will still opt for the Taiwan-based chipset, we expect to see a more powerful MediaTek Helio P chip with 64-bit CPU architecture and a 16nm process technology.
In terms of RAM, the Zero 5 and 5 Pro didn’t disappoint. They both featured 6GB of RAM which is more than enough for any Android smartphone. Anything more than this is an overkill. Therefore, we expect the upcoming Zero 6 to be powered by a 6GB of RAM and 128GB of ROM. Both devices are expected to run on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box.
CAMERA AND BATTERY
The Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus have just been launched with the tagline; “Camera, Reimagined” This means many OEMs will be focusing on camera this year. The Infinix Zero 6 and Zero 6 Pro will not be different. The cameras are expected to come with lots of improvement over last year’s Zero flagships.
We loved the dual cameras on the zero 5 last year, especially the bokeh effect which has been praised by many users of the device. We expect the Zero 6 and 6 Pro to as well sport the trending dual rear camera with portrait mode and 4K video capability.
In terms of battery, the Infinix Zero 6 and Zero 6 Pro should come with a Non-Removable Li-Ion 4500mAh battery with fast charging technology.
PRICE AND AVAILABILITY
The Infinix Zero 6 and Zero 6 Pro are expected to be announced in the last quarter of 2018 and as far as pricing is concerned, no official statement has been made yet. How much do you think the Zero 6 and 6 Pro should cost?
