Vivo Y95 Launched with Snapdragon 439 CPU and 4030-mAh Battery
Barely a day after the Internet was awash with several leaked features and specs of Vivo Y95, the wait is finally over as the Chinese-based phone maker has announced the mobile device today in the Philippines. This smartphone is essentially the recently launched China-only Vivo Y93, which offers a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The notched Y95 smartphone comes with a display, engineered with a standard IPS panel that has a resolution of 720 by 1520 pixels, fitting in a 6.22“ diagonal. The device features the Snapdragon 439 — Qualcomm’s latest low-end 12nm chipset — that works in tandem with 4GB RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage (expandable through microSD card). It runs out-of-the-box Android v8.1 Oreo and Vivo Funtouch OS 4.5.
In the camera department, you will find a dual-camera setup at its back panel that comprises a 13-MP primary shooter, along with a 2-MP secondary one, built for depth sensing. The front-facing selfie 20-MP camera sits on the waterdrop-styled notch. Vivo Y95 promises different AI-powered features, such as Night Mode as well as face unlock.
This latest iteration in the Vivo Y series of smartphones packs a fairly strong 4030-mAh battery.
As of yet, there is no information on whether the device will be offered in other markets other than that in the Philippines. However, the price of the phone will be PHP 13,999 (around $263). It will be sold in a number of colors, including Aurora Red Gradient and Starry Black.
