HiSense U30 was just announced at the ongoing CES 2019 event in Las Vegas bagging two new records. First, it is the first smartphone to use the new Snapdragon 675 chipset and also the first to use the Samsung ISOCELL Bright GM1 48MP Sensor for its camera. On top of all that, it has a punch-hole camera like the one on the Samsung Galaxy A8s and Huawei Nova 4. It also sports a massive 4,500mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 4.0. Let’s find out more.

HiSense U30 Design And Display
Hisense U30 has 6.3-inch 1080p Full HD+ display with a punch-hole selfie camera at the top left side of the screen. Bezels on top and at the both are minimal although the company they didn’t reveal the screen to body screen.
At the back is the dual rear camera setup lined up at the centre just at the top of the fingerprint sensor. In addition to the fingerprint sensor, there is also a face Unlock feature via the selfie camera. Colour options, as well as the weight and thickness of the device, is still unknown at this point.
HiSense U30 Camera Review
The rear camera here is a new, especially the main 48MP Samsung made camera at the back. It is supported by a secondary 5MP depth sensor camera. There is also an LED flash but it’s too early to tell if it is a single, dual or Quad-LED flash. 1080p video recording shouldn’t be a problem even at 120fps. For selfies, the 20MP front-facing camera sitting comfortably on the top left side of the screen should do the trick.
HiSense U30 Hardware and Software
The HiSense U30 Debuts the Snapdragon 675 which is relatively new Snapdragon chipset based on the 11nm FinFET process technology released late last year. It is an octa-core processor with clock speeds of up 2.0GHz paired with an Adreno 612 GPU for graphics and gaming. This device comes with either 6GB or 8GB RAM which both comes with 128GB of non-expandable storage. It runs Android 9.0 Pie out of the box with HiSense’s Vision UI slapped on top.
Battery & Network Connectivity
A massive 4,500mAh powers this device with support for Quick Charge 4+ which means a full charge from 0% shouldn’t take up to 2 hours. The device has 4G LTE, WiFi, WiFi hotspot, Bluetooth and GPS.
HiSense U30 Price and Availability
HiSense U30 launches on March and there is currently no word on the pricing yet but it is expected to be within the $250 to $350 range. It will available first in China, Russia and some other regions in Europe then hopefully, move on to other countries later on.
