Samsung is set to join the likes of OPPO, Vivo and Xiaomi in India and other developing markets on Jan. 28 when they will be introducing the long-awaited Galaxy M series. The specifications, features and the design of the galaxy M series have already been revealed online even before the official unveiling of the flagship later this month. The pricing and the release date have already been leaked online through industry sources.
Industry sources have told the Indo-Asian News Service (IANS) that the Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 smartphones will be available for purchase from the 5th March. Samsung’s online shop and Amazon India is the two places where the phone will be available for purchase.
The Price of Galaxy M10 will start at Rs. 7,990 while the Galaxy M20 price will start at Rs. 10,990. With the prices revealed, it shows that the Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 will be battling it with some of the popular and mid-range phones like Redmi 6, Realme 2, Redmi Note 6 Pro and ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M1 in the Indian market.
Galaxy M10 Specifications
Older reports showed that the Galaxy M10 will be an entry-level smartphone that will feature 6.2-inch IPS LCD panel with Infinity – V notch and HD+ resolution support. The 2/3GB RAM and the 16/32 GB storage variant of the Galaxy M10 will be powered by the Exynos 7872 chipset.
Also, the Galaxy M10 will be coming with Android 8.1 Oreo OS onboard with an expected battery capacity of 3,400mAh. The rear side of the phone will have a 13 – megapixel dual camera setup. It will also be equipped with a 5 – megapixel frontal shooter for snapping selfies.
Galaxy M20 Specifications
This will feature a 6.3 – inch IPS LCD Infinity – V display with support for full HD+ resolution. The 3/4 GB Ram and 32/64 GB storage is expected to be powered by the Exynos 7904 chipset. The phone will come with Android 8.1 Oreo OS pre-installed in it. And it will be the first Samsung smartphone to come with a whopping 5000mAh battery capacity. It will feature 13 – megapixel plus 5 – megapixel dual camera for taking pictures. The smartphone will feature USB – C port which will enable fast charging.
