The Vivo Apex 2019 has finally arrived after months of online speculations. The phone came with so many first features. The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset and it comes with a 256/512GB storage and 12GB RAM and 5G. First Vivo 5G smartphone with 12GB of RAM.

This phone was unveiled just a day after Meizu announced its button-less phone. But a look at the Vivo Apex 2019 shows that the beast is entirely different from the Meizu button-less device even though they both look similar.

A quick look at both devices shows that while the Vivo Apex 2019 has a port, the Meizu Zero relies solely on wireless charging. A magPort – a magnetic connector on the rear is what Vivo uses for charging and data transfer. The Vivo Apex 2019 comes with a 6.39 – inch AMOLED display which also serves as the speaker by using the piezoelectric transducer to emit sound. The sight of the selfie camera is not seen on the device as it is surrounded by small tiny bezels.

Another amazing feature that came with this smartphone is the full display fingerprint scanner. What it means is that you can unlock the device by touching anywhere on the screen via the in – display fingerprint scanner – this puts the fingerprint scanner as the most advanced in – display fingerprint scanner in the market.

Unlike the Meizu phone’s, the Vivo Apex 2019 uses a combined capacitive touch and pressure sensing to change the standard volume button and power buttons on both sides. With this, you will retain seamless, buttonless design while you get the functionality of both buttons.

The flagship comes with 12MP + 13MP dual camera on the rear and with LED flash. There is no word from Vivo yet about the selfie camera. No one knows if it will come with a pop – up slider or if it will come without one. Also, Vivo has not revealed if the device came with wireless charging or if it is waterproof just like the Meizu Zero.

We don’t expect Vivo to release the device to the market yet since this is a concept phone. Although, late last year, Vivo revealed the impressive Apex concept and later on released the NEX that used a bunch of its technologies.

We expect Vivo to show up the Apex 2019 at the February Mobile World Congress. We look forward to the outcome of the Congress.
