Vivo Y89 Design And Display
The design of the device looks pretty standard with the 6.26-inch display, with a notch of course which houses both the front-facing camera and speaker grill. The display has a 1080p screen resolution with 403ppi. There is also a little bit of chin down below as with most smartphones.
At top left corner of the device’s back is a dual camera setup with an LED flash underneath. The fingerprint sensor is located at the usual spot at the centre spot with the Vivo Logo just underneath. The device weighs just 149.3 grams and measures 7.9mm in thickness. Colour options available for this device are just Aurora and Black.
Vivo Y89 Camera Review
The dual rear camera on the Vivo Y89 is made up of a main 16MP camera with an f/2.0 aperture and PDAF attached with a secondary 2MP depth sensor camera with f/2.4 aperture. The rear camera is also equipped with an LED flash for low light shots and can take Panorama images and record 1080p videos at 30fps. The front facing camera is also a 16MP shooter with an f/2.0 aperture.
Vivo Y89 Hardware and Software
The brain of the Vivo Y89 is the Snapdragon 626 Chipset which is an octa-core processor based on the 14nm process technology and jas a maximum clock speed of 2.2GHz. This is paired with an Adreno 506 GPU for graphics and gaming. This device has only one configuration which is the one with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in storage space. Storage is also expandable, up to 256GB using a microSD card. Unfortunately, this device still runs on the not so latest Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.
Battery & Network Connectivity
A 3,260mAh battery is tucked in the Vivo Y89 which keeps the lights on with fast charging for quick to ups. All other basic features like 4G LTE Connectivity, WiFi, WiFi hotspot, WiFi direct, Bluetooth, GPS and a micro USB 2.0 with support USB On The Go are all available.
