Xiaomi Black Shark Skywalker With Snapdragon 855 Coming Soon

Xiaomi introduced its first gaming phone in April 2018 known as the Black Shark. We believe that Xiaomi might follow the same trend this year and introduce a new Black shark gaming phone same time this year.

The product director of Xiaomi Wang Teng Thomas has confirmed that they are working on the project which shows that the device might be launched very soon.

A post by Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun in Weibo asked fans to express their suggestions and expectations for the Black Shark crew. The Xiaomi product director later re-shared the post in his Weibo account and claimed that he has seen the device. According to him, the device is “full of personality and very cool” which means that the device is coming with unique specifications. Although he does not disclose the name of the device.

After the unveiling of the Black shark in April last year, they later unveiled the Black Shark Helo in October same year. Both devices are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset. The Black Shark Helo came with 10GB RAM which made it the first device in the world to come with 10GB RAM.

Xiaomi is yet to disclose the name of the device but most people are predicting that it will be called “Black Shark Skywalker” since a device with the same name shown in the Geekbench benchmarking platform in the same previous month.

In the benchmarking site, the Black Shark Skywalker was displayed with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset, 8GB RAM and the latest Android 9 Pie OS. Remember that the Black Shark Helo came with 10/8 GB RAM and 256/128GB storage which makes us think that the next black shark version might come with 10GB RAM. For now, the company is yet to disclose the other specifications of the device and the price of the device.
