HMD Global, the company that produces and markets Nokia phones, has launched the Nokia X71 today in Taiwan in addition to the flagship device, Nokia 9 PureView. The smartphone is coming as the first mobile device from the Nokia brand, offered with a punch hole display. It is also the first X-series phone to be unveiled outside the shores of China.

This latest mid-ranged product has a 6.39″ FHD+ display that exhibits an impressive 93 percent screen-to-body ratio as well as a punch hole for the 16MP selfie shooter. If you take a look under the hood, you will be greeted by the Snapdragon 660, which is paired with 6GB of RAM, with 128GB of built-in storage. (This is expandable up to 256 gigabytes through microSD card.)

The X71 features a Zeiss-branded triple camera setup on the rear, comprising 48MP (primary), 8MP (wide) as well as 5MP (depth) modules.  Beside the cameras lies the flash, and the traditional fingerprint sensor is beneath the combination.

This new smartphone is part of the Android One program, so it ships with Android v9.0 (Pie). It has 3500-mAh cell, which can be instantly topped up using the 18W fast charger that you will find in the box. The Nokia X71 offers FM Radio, along with other connectivity options. It has a 3.5mm headphone jack.

This phone will go for $385 (approx. €345) and is billed to go on sale on Tuesday, 30 April. There are speculations that the mobile will be available, globally, around the same time as the Nokia 8.1 Plus.
