The TECNO Pouvoir 3 smartphone is here for unboxing and review. The device is the 3rd iteration in TECNO Pouvoir series and is not significantly different from its predecessor at least on the internal. The Pouvoir 3 smartphone is powered by a 5000mAh battery which according to TECNO can last up to 22 hours of video playback, 20 hours of music playback, 43 hours of calling and 13 hours of play games.
Asides this, it houses a single 13MP rear camera and same 13MP camera for taking selfies. Under the hood, you get a quad-core MediaTek MT6739 processor clocked at 1.3GHz alongside a PowerVR GE8100 GPU.
The Unit we have has 2GB of RAM with 32GB of storage and runs Android v.8.1 (Oreo) with HiOS 4.1 Skin out of the box. There is a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, dual Nano-SIM cards, support for 4G LTE network among others.

Pouvoir 3 Unboxing
The Pouvoir 3 smartphone is housed in a well-packed rectangular box having the device name with some specs of the phone written on it. The first thing you see upon removing the box is the phone itself and you are immediately being greeted with the main highlight of the phone-5000mAh battery that TECNO says can last you up to 4days of normal usage.
Other things inside the box are the usual suspects and these include
- A Micro-USB Cable
- A 5V 1.2A Charger
- A pair of Earphones
- Transparent Back cover
- Warranty card and some
- User manual
TECNO Pouvoir 3 Unboxing-Design
Design wise, despite its 5000mAh battery, the Pouvoir 3 comes with a remarkably thin profile measuring 3.8mm in visual thinness making it very sleek to hold. It is available in Midnight Black, Champagne Gold, and Aqua Blue colours.
At the back, you get a 13MP camera followed by a dual LED flash and the fingerprint scanner just below. The power button, SIM card tray and the volume controller buttons can be seen at the right-hand side while the tray that houses the Sdcard slot is located at the left-hand side.
At the top is the 3.5mm audio jack while at the bottom part of the phone you have the Speaker grilles, charging port and the noise cancellation port
TECNO Pouvoir 3 Unboxing-Display
Talking about the display, nothing spectacular here. The Pouvoir 3 dishes out a 6.2-inch screen with a notch cut out that houses the single LED flash, a 13MP front-facing camera and the microphone. It uses an 18:9 aspect ratio with a resolution of 1440 *720.
There are three on-screen buttons – the multitasking button to access recently opened apps, home button and the exit button.
My First Impression
One striking thing about the phone apart from the 5000mAh battery and the design is the beautiful UI. The interphase looks so gorgeous making the display pops. You won’t even believe it is a 720P display. The Icons are different from what you have on the Camon or the Spark series. It is more of a TECNO Phantom and is so cool.
We have not been able to put the phone to the test, but a quick glance through the device, we discovered that you can listen to FM Radio without having to plug in a pair of earphones which might come in handy for those who listen to Radio a lot.
