Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Pro debut with Snapdragon 855+ & 4000 mAh battery
It’s not up to six months when Xiaomi released Black Shark 2 and now we have its Pro version – Black Shark 2 Pro.
The headliner feature of this Pro version is the newly Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset released by Qualcomm not long ago. Unluckily for Xiaomi, the Black Shark 2 Pro is not the first smartphone to feature this chipset. The newly released Asus ROG Phone 2 already got that crown. However, Black Shark fans will boast about the Pro version benchmark score of 500,610 on AnTuTu which is the highest score on that platform.
The SD 855+ on the Black Shark 2 Pro comes with a 12GB RAM which can be paired with either 128GB or 256GB of storage and also supports UFS 3.0 standard. There is also an improved liquid cooling technology version 3.0 that comes with a liquid-cooled tube and plate for optimal thermal management.
The Black Shark 2 Pro features a 6.39 inches AMOLED display with 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution, which is the same as on the Black Shark 2. According to Black Shark, the touch latency on the Black Shark 2 Pro has been reduced to 34.7ms. Remember that on the Black Shark 2 the touch latency is at 43.5ms.
For the camera department which isn’t major for gaming smartphones, the Black Shark 2 Pro features a dual rear camera setup. The camera features a combination of a 48MP f/1.75 sensor and a 12MP f/2.2 sensor. While the selfie camera packs a 20MP f/2.0 sensor. The device runs on clean and almost stock version Android 9.0 Pie. Battery capacity available is 4000 mAh battery and supports 27W fast battery charging.
The Black Shark 2 Pro is said to be available on August 2 in China. And you can choose from Orange, Black, Silver, Blue or Purple body colours. The 12/128GB version will debut at CNY2,999/$435 while the 12/256GB version starts at CNY3,499/$508.
