Samsung has launched the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus today during their unpacked event in New York.

This is the first time in recent years, the company are launching two models of its Note flagship. And there is a lot to be excited about with this release.

The trademark S-pen can now act as a motion controller thanks to an accelerometer and gyroscope. Both Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ comes with the same-sized S-pen.

Both models feature a centred punch-hole display. And it differentiates them from the Galaxy S10 which features a right-sided punch-hole display. Over the last couple of years, Samsung hasn’t had much success separating both the Note and S flagships until now.

The Galaxy Note 10’s display is a 6.3-inch Dynamic AMOLED with 1080 pixels and 401 PPI density. While the Galaxy Note 10+ comes with a much bigger 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED panel with 1440 pixels and 498 PPI density. The Note 10+ will appeal to the true core Note fans who love the series due to its big display.

Camera configuration is the same on both smartphones. They sport a triple rear setup consisting of a 12MP f/1.5-2.4 main sensor, a 12MP telephoto sensor and a 16MP wide-angle sensor. The Note 10+ comes with an extra 3D ToF (Time of Frame) sensor. This sensor is used by the 3D scanner app in the device to create 3D models of real-life objects.

There are two versions of the Note 10 series, we have the LTE and 5G versions. Due to most carriers not having a functioning 5G network yet, the availability of the 5G version of the Note 10 and Note 10+ will be limited.

In terms of hardware, as usual, the Note 10 & Note 10+ comes in two versions depending on the market/region. There is one running with the New Exynos 9825 SoC. While the other comes with Snapdragon 855 SoC. The Note 10 gets an 8GB RAM that can be paired with either 256GB or 512GB storage. The 5G version of the Note 10 ships out with a 12GB RAM. The Note 10+ comes with a standard 12GB RAM coupled with 256GB or 512GB. The Note 10+ comes with microSD slot, which is not available on the Note 10.

The Galaxy Note 10 packs a 3500 mAh battery while the Note 10+ has a 4300 mAh battery. They both support 25W fast charging. The Note 10+ went a step further by supporting 45W Super Fast Charging. The plot twist is that you’ll need to buy the 45W fast charger separately while the 25W is out of the box. Both devices support wireless charging and reverse wireless charging.

Pre-order for both the Note 10 and Note 10+ starts today but will be available on August 23rd in Aura Glow, Aura White and Aura Black body colours. The Galaxy Note10 price will start from $/€949. While the Note 10+ starts from $/€1,099 for the 12/256GB variant and $/€1,199 for the 12/512GB variant.
