OnePlus 7T goes official with Snapdragon 855+ and 90Hz AMOLED display
The device comes with a “Fluid AMOLED display” which allowed it to achieve a 90Hz refresh rate. The display measures 6.55″ and features 1080p resolution, HDR10+, 20:9 aspect ratio and waterdrop notch.
The camera category seems to be the biggest upgrade of the 7T over the 7 Pro. The triple rear camera is arranged in a circular module, which somewhat ugly. The OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro has better camera arrangement IMO.
The camera setup of the OnePlus 7T features a 48MP Sony IMX586 main sensor with f/1.6 aperture, a 12MP telephoto sensor with 2x optical zoom and a 16MP ultrawide sensor with 117° field of view.
As many would have predicted, the OnePlus 7T is powered Snapdragon 855+ SoC. The chipset is paired with only 8GB RAM along with either 128GB or 256GB UFS 3.0 storage. The phone is also expected to run on Android 10 OS out of the box.
The battery capacity is 3,800 mAh, which is 200 mAh less than what we have on the OnePlus 7 Pro. The OnePlus 7T makes up for the short battery capacity by supporting “Warp Charge 30T” fast charging. According to OnePlus, that’s about 23% faster than the 30W Warp Charge featured on the OnePlus 7 Pro. No room for wireless charging on the device which isn’t surprising.
The OnePlus 7T will be available starting from September 28th while it will show up in the US on October 18th with a starting price of $600 for the 128GB model.
