Samsung Galaxy A90 5G debuts with 48MP camera, 6.7-inch display and Snapdragon 855 SoC
The Samsung A90 5G is now official and there is a lot of reasons to be excited about this upper-level mid-range smartphone from the Samsung.
The smartphone comes with the next-generation 5G network, making it the first premium mid-range device from Samsung with the feature. The tech giant has three other devices with the feature; Galaxy S10 5G, Galaxy Note 10 5G and Galaxy Note 10+ 5G. Prior to the release of the Galaxy A90 5G, the next-gen network was basically exclusive to premium flagships in the smartphone industry.
The Samsung Galaxy A90 5G does make a strong case of being a premium device though. It comes with the Snapdragon 855 SoC which is paired with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB. If you’re in need of additional storage, the 6GB RAM version comes with a microSD slot for up to 512GB storage.
The back of the device features a triple camera at the top left consisting of a main 48MP sensor, an 8MP ultrawide sensor and 5MP depth sensor. The cameras features LED flash, Panorama, HDR, Scene Optimizer and Flaw Detector. While the front is home to a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-U display. Underneath the display is a fingerprint reader. There is a waterdrop notch on the display which features a 32MP selfie camera.
Another great feature of the Galaxy A90 5G is the Samsung DeX which allows users to expand the device’s screen to either TV or PC. The smartphone is the first under the A-series lineup with this feature.
Other features include Android 9.0 Pie with OneUI custom skin, 4,500 mAh battery capacity with 25W fast charging, 8.4mm thickness and 206 grams of weight.
The smartphone is scheduled to arrive in South Korea tomorrow and later in other markets. Price is unknown at this point, we have to wait till tomorrow when it drops.
