Oppo K5 debuts with 64MP camera & Snapdragon 730G Chipset 


Chinese smartphone maker Oppo has unveiled a mid-range device – Oppo K5. The phone was unveiled in China during an event which was headlined by the company’s latest flagship – Oppo Reno Ace.

This mid-ranger comes with a 6.4-inch display features AMOLED panel with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Underneath the display is a fingerprint scanner. A 32MP f/2.0 selfie camera is housed in the device’s waterdrop notch.

At the back, the phone features a quad camera setup like the Reno Ace. The setup features a 64MP f/1.8 main sensor, an 8MP f/2.2 secondary sensor with 119° field of view, a 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor and another 2MP monochrome sensor. Inside the K5 is a Snapdragon 730G SoC coupled with either 6GB or 8GB RAM. There are two storage options available; 128GB and 256GB.

The Oppo K5 packs a battery capacity of 4,000 mAh and supports VOOC 3.0 (30W) fast charging. The charging promises up to 67% juice in 30 minutes. Other notable features include 3.5mm audio jack, dual-band Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth, and USB Type-C port.

The Oppo phone is available Blue, White and Green body colours. The 6/128GB base variant costs €240/$266 while the 8/128GB variant goes for €267/$295. To get the top-spec memory of 8/256GB, you’ll need €320/$350.
