Samsung Galaxy A41 is obviously the successor to popular midrange smartphone; Samsung Galaxy A40. The Samsung Galaxy A41 is more of a refresh than a successor with little albeit good improvements. It stills keeps the notched display however it now stands a little bit taller at 6.1-inch. it also three rear cameras, one of which is a 48MP sensor.

Battery capacity also got a bump, slightly, and a new SoC was added. It also runs the latest Android 10 operating system which is laced with One UI.

Samsung Galaxy A41 rocks a similar but more polished design. The back which is made of plastic is plain with just the triple camera setup and LED flash occupying the top left corner. It also has a plastic frame. The plain design makes the colour options available which are Black, White and Blue pop.

Turning the device over to the front reveals a 6.1-inch Super AMOLED display with a waterdrop notch covered with a slab of glass for protection. As for the display, it uses a 19:9 aspect ratio and has a 1080p resolution with a 431ppi. Underneath the display lies the fingerprint sensor which is an optical one and not an ultrasonic one.

Samsung Galaxy A41 has four cameras in total; one at the front for selfies and three at the back. The ones at the back consist of a 48MP main camera with an f/2.0 aperture and PDAF, an 8MP ultrawide camera with an f/2.2 aperture and a 5MP depth sensor with an f/2.4 aperture.

The rear camera features an LED flash for low light photography, HDR for good dynamic range and panorama. It can also shoot 2160p and 1080p videos at 30fps. Meanwhile, the front-facing 25MP selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture can only shoot 1080p videos at 30fps.

Hardware and Software

Inside the Samsung Galaxy A41 is the Helio P65 SoC from Mediatek. This SoC is based on the 12nm process technology and has an octa-core processor clocking speeds of up to 2.0GHz alongside a Mali-G52 MC2 GPU for gaming. This is hooked up to 4GB of RAM which comes with 64GB of internal storage.

There are no other RAM/Storage Options, at least for now. Thankfully, this device does come with a dedicated microSD card slot which can be used for storage expansion of up to 128GB.

As expected of a Samsung Galaxy smartphone, it runs Samsung’s own One UI 2.0 out of the box which is based on the latest Android 10 operating system.

Battery and Connectivity

Samsung Galaxy A41 is packing a 3,500mAh battery, 400mAh more than it’s predecessor and it still retains the 15W fast battery charging for quick top-ups. Speaking of charging, it is done through the USB Type-C port which can also be used for file transfers.

Other features of the Samsung Galaxy A41 includes 4G LTE connectivity, Bluetooth, WiFi, WiFi hotspot, GPS, FM radio and a 3.5mm jack. It also has NFC for payments.

Samsung Galaxy A41 Price in Nigeria and Availability

The Samsung Galaxy A41 is yet to be launched in Nigeria but has been announced in other countries. Judging from the price the Galaxy M41 was announced, it is expected to retail for around N85,000 to N90,000 in Nigeria.
