Oppo is one of the fastest-growing smartphone manufacturers in the world and is now available in the Nigerian market. While it is still a relatively new name in the country, the company has some of the most appealing smartphones available in Nigeria at the moment.
Customers in Nigeria have been able to buy Oppo phones in the country since April 2019. Already the devices are becoming popular. They do all the usual smartphone things, such as play games, stream music/videos, support services like fasting charging, and take photos. However, Oppo smartphones are also famous for their excellent design and use of cutting-edge technology.
With that in mind, what are the best Oppo devices released so far in Nigeria?
Oppo F11 Pro
Released in March 2019, the Oppo F11 Pro has quickly become one of the most recognizable smartphones on the global market. That’s mostly because of its selfie camera. Oppo wanted a device with an all-screen front panel so did not want to compromise with an iPhone-style notch or Samsung Galaxy S10-like hole punch. Instead, the company was at its innovative best and included a selfie shooter that automatically pops up from within the device.
It’s very satisfying whenever the camera pops up, accompanied by a glorious mechanical sound. The lens within that selfie camera is top-notch, offering a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 16 megapixels. Around the pack, there is a dual 48MP (primary) and 5MP (depth sensor) camera module with Pro Mode, HDR, Panorama, and other features.
Looking at the other specs of the F11 Pro, Nigerian customers can choose between 64GB and 128GB internal storage options. As for RAM, Oppo offers two configuration choices, 4GB or 6GB. With fast charging and a 4,000mAh battery, the Oppo F11 is ideal for power users.
Oppo 10X Zoom
Released through the middle of 2019, the Oppo 10X Zoom is a large phablet smartphone that comes with a massive 6.6-inch display. However, the company kept the size of the overall handset relatively compact thanks to its edge-to-edge bezel-less screen. Like the F11 Pro, the 10X Zoom sports a pop-up selfie camera, but this time it arrives from the side of the smartphones, not the top.
If you’re a smartphone camera enthusiast, the Oppo 10X Zoom is a fine choice. The 16MP pop-up selfie lens offers an f/2.0 aperture and video recording in HD. Flipping the device over reveals an interesting rear camera setup. Oppo has added three lenses to the Zoom, a 48MP camera that is backed up by an 8MP wide-angle sensor, and a 13-megapixel telephoto lens for zoom shots (hence the name).
With the Oppo A1k, customers can get a very good smartphone that is a very affordable device. While it is not as bezel-free as the more expensive models on this list, the A1k does feature an 80% screen-to-body ratio.
The selfie camera (not a pop-up this time) is a modest 5MP lens, but it does support High-dynamic-range (HDR) shooting. Around the back is an equally pared-back sensor, an 8MP camera that also gets HDR and wide-angle view.
Overall specs include 32GB of expandable storage, 2GB of RAM, and a non-removable Li-Pro 4000mAh juicer.
