BllocZero18 Full Specs Review

BllocZero18 2

BllocZero18 is a unique looking smartphone that brings simplicity and class to a powerful and different looking device. The device is the first phone from the company, it features a purely monochromatic, black-and-white interface and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo.

This will definitely reduce power consumption and make the 3100mAh battery last longer. There’s 4GB of RAM for multitasking and 64GB storage, then the Helio P23 chip is onboard as well. Without further ado, meet the BllocZero18.

BllocZero18 Key Specs and Features

・5.5-inch FHD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, 1080 x 2160 pixels
・Android 8.1 Oreo with 4GB RAM
・Octa-core 2.0GHz MediaTek Helio P23
・64GB built-in storage, upgradeable up to 256GB
・13MP rear camera and 8MP front camera
・3100mAh non-removable Li-Ion Battery

The premium smartphone comes in a rectangular-like boxy shape that might not be that appealing to some. But we can’t help but notice how sleek and nicely polished it is. Also, its simple and plain aluminium body is covered exquisitely in glass for that premium vibe.

There’s a rear fingerprint scanner at the top middle with the LED flash coming underneath. The fingerprint sensor gives you fast access to the device, it also turns the interface from B&W to a much more traditional vibrant one you place your finger on it. It goes back to monochrome mode once you remove your finger. It will be available in Black and White colours.

From the front, it looks like a Mix smartphone from various Chinese OEMs, due to its tri-bezel-less display. There’s no top and bottom bezel in sight, while the bottom bezel is somewhat thick. The bottom bezel houses what looks like a selfie camera in the middle.

The 5.5-inch FHD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen is absolutely stunning. It has a resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels and 421 pixel per inch density for crystal clear visuals. The screen has a 1000:1 contrast ratio with a glass on top for protection.

It houses the Helio P23 chip from MediaTek. The octa-core processor here runs at a fast pace of 2.0GHz with 16nm FinFET+ process technology. In the graphics department, the ARM Mali-G71 MP2 graphics processor comes with 2-Cores and clocks at 770 MHz.

It has a RAM space of 4GB, this should be more than enough for all your multitasking needs, it has a memory speed of more than 1GHz as well. For storage, the 64GB can be upgraded up to 256GB with a memory card. The BllocZero18 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with Blloc OS.

The 13MP Sony IMX258 Exmor RS-powered camera shoots amazing photographs in RAW format. It also records 4K videos @ 30fps. There’s a LED flash underneath the camera for low light shots. While an 8MP selfie shooter is presumably at the bottom bezel.

The BllocZero18 is powered by a non-removable Li-Ion 3100mAh battery with fast charging technology.

BllocZero18 can be reserved (pre-ordered) for €359 about $399 to $449, that’s about (N130,000 – N150,000).
