Qualcomm Snapdragon, a leading chipset manufacturer released a new Chipset for flagship smartphones named Snapdragon 855 not too long ago which is meant to succeed the Snapdragon 845 SoC.

The new Snapdragon 855 chipset is built on a new process technology – 7nm – and brings a whole lot of improvements over its predecessor. It has over 40% CPU performance increase and 20% GPU increase over the Snapdragon 845 with the inclusive of 5G on some of the Chipset for next-generation connectivity.

The new Snapdragon 855 Chipset from Qualcomm has already been making its way into 2019 flagships with some already on shelves and more yet to come in the coming months.

It’s still pretty impressive nonetheless. The Mi 9 is Xiaomi 2019 Flagship device succeeding the Mi 8 from last year and of course, sporting that Snapdragon 855 SoC on the inside.

Asides from this, it also has a massive HDR10 ready 6.39-inch super-AMOLED display with an in-display fingerprint sensor, a waterdrop notch housing the front-facing 20MP and a small chin.

At the back is a triple camera setup consisting of a 48MP + 16MP + 12MP with dual-LED flash. It has 6GB or 8GB RAM with 64GB or 128GB of storage and runs Android 9.0 Pie out of the box with MIUI 10 on top.

It has a triple 12MP + 13MP + 2MP rear camera setup and a single 12MP selfie camera placed in the waterdrop notch top of the 6.41-inch 1080p AMOLED display. The display also has a fingerprint sensor Underneath for biometric verifications. It runs the latest Android operating system – Android 9.0 Pie – out of the box with Vivo’s Funtouch 9 Skin. The 4,000mAh battery powering this device supports 44W fast charging which can get you a 50% charge in 15mins and a full charge in less than an hour though it’s USB Type-C port.

LG G8 ThinQ is one of the cheapest Snapdragon 855 powered smartphones from LG. Just like the rest of the other flagship devices, the LG G8 ThinQ sports a 6.1-inch AMOLED display with a bathtub notch and quite a bit of bezel at the top and bottom.

The display is also protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 5. As for the cameras, it is equipped with a triple 12MP + 16MP + 12MP or dual 12MP + 16MP rear camera depending on the market. The display comes with a 6.4-inch P-OLED Panel, 19:9 aspect ratio with a notch and a 1440 x 3120 pixels screen resolution with an eye-popping 537ppi. Alongside the Snapdragon 855 SoC is 6GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage.

It runs Android 9.0 Pie out of the box and is powered by a 4,000mAh battery with support for both fast wired charging (Quick Charge 3.0, USB PD) and Wireless charging (10W, Qi-compatible). As for cameras, it has a triple 12MP + 12MP + 16MP at the back and a dual 8MP + 5MP at the front.
