Gionee is back into the smartphone world with the new Gionee F9 Plus. This is the first smartphone from Gionee over the last 7 months and it’s for the budget users.
The new F9 Plus comes with front Dragontail glass and glossy back finish. The front is home to a U-shape notch display and a bottom chin with the company’s brand name. At the back, we have a fingerprint reader and a dual camera.
The display measures 6.26-inch HD+ with 720 x 1520 pixels resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio. The dual rear camera sports a setup of 13MP f/1.8 main sensor and a 2MP f/2.4 secondary sensor. It also features night mode, bokeh mode and beauty mode to make sure you get the best of image quality.
The u-shaped notch packs a 13MP f/2.0 selfie camera that supports Face Unlock. The fingerprint reader can be used as a shutter button to take selfies. And also, the notch serves as the phone’s battery meter, which is not quite common in the smartphone market.
Underneath the Gionee F9 Plus is an Octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz. The processor is laced with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. Additional storage of up to 256GB is possible via microSD slot. Running on the F9 Plus is Android Pie out of the box. Battery wise, the Gionee phone comes with non-removable 4050 mAh battery.
The Gionee F9 Plus will be available on retail stores both offline and online in India. There is no word on the availability date but it will come with a starting price of $108.
