Gionee M7 Lite Design And Display
Gionee M7 Lite is obviously made of plastic to keep the cost and price down. The plastic body does look good in Blusher Grey, Elegant Blue and Slate Black which are the three colour options available for this device.
There is also a single rear-facing camera above the LED flash at the top left corner while a fingerprint sensor sits comfortably at its usual spot.
Turning over to the front reveals the 5.45-inch IPS LCD display with a bathtub notch. The notch is housing the single front-facing camera, speaker grill and other sensors. Coming down to the bottom of the display also reveals quite a chunk of the chin. The display itself is in HD and has a pixel per inch density of 284.
As expected, it has a dual SIM card slot with a dedicated microSD for storage expansion.
Gionee M7 Lite Camera Review
Gionee M7 Lite has a pretty standard two-camera setup; one at the front and one at the back. The one at the back is an 8MP camera with an LED flash. It can shoot 720p videos at 30fps and has features like autofocus and panorama.
For selfies, there is a 5MP shooter with faceID and the ability to make your selfies Better with a feature called “FaceBeauty”. Just like the rear camera, the selfie camera also has an LED flash. However, it can also shoot 480p videos at 30fps.
A Mediatek MT6739 SoC does the job with its Quad-core processor clocked at 1.25GHz paired with PowerVR GE8100 GPU for gaming. This is tied to the 2GB of RAM on board for smooth multitasking. 16GB of storage takes care of files and if you need more storage, there is a microSD card slot that can accommodate up to 32GB of extra storage.
It runs the Go Edition of Android 9.0 Pie which a toned-down version of the operating system for low-end devices. Of course, this will be covered with Gionee’s own skin.
Battery and Connectivity
A 4,000mAh battery keeps the lights on here. Unfortunately, there is no fast charging, so charging is going to take a while. Other features of the Gionee M7 Lite includes 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, WiFi hotspot, WiFi direct, GPS, a 3.5mm jack and a microUSB port.
