LG G7 Fit was launched today with the G7 One, both mid-range offerings from LG. Unlike the G7 One, the G7 Fit isn’t part of the Android One program and comes with a downgraded chipset.
LG brought on the much older Snapdragon 821 chipset here, it comes with an octa-core processor nonetheless and has a 64GB storage variant. Let’s find out more.
LG G7 Fit Specs and Features

・Android 8.1 Oreo with 4GB RAM
・Octa-core 2.25GHz Snapdragon 821
・32GB/64GB built-in storage

Design And Display
The G7 Fit looks totally different from the G7 One, but it still sports an aluminium alloy overall unibody with IP68 certifications as well. This means the Fit variant offers dust and water resistant.
The features at the top middle were positioned differently, the LED flash is now in-between the rear camera and fingerprint scanner. It measures 7.9mm in thickness and weighs just 156g as well.
Just like the G7 One, the G7 Fit comes with the notch as well, everything on the screen is still the same, no major difference though. It’s the cheapest notched smartphone from LG.
It sports a tall 6.1-inch QHD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen which has a resolution of 1440 x 3120 pixels and 563 pixels per inch density. It also stretches up to 82.9% screen-to-body ratio.
Hardware and Software
Powering it up is the Snapdragon 821 chip, it was built on an older 14nm process technology unlike the 835. Nonetheless, it comes with an 8-core processor that is clocked at 2.25GHz. In the graphics department, the Adreno 530 is in charge.
You still get the same 4GB of RAM space available for multitasking. LG brought on a bigger 64GB variant to complement the 32GB storage space. You can still upgrade both up to 512GB. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo as well.
Camera And Connectivity
It’s equipped with the same 16MP rear camera, but the aperture has been reduced further to f/2.2. The camera is also loaded with phase detection autofocus, laser autofocus and other features. It shoots 4K videos @30fps, while the 8MP selfie shooter has f/1.9 aperture.
The G7 Fit supports 4G LTE connectivity and accommodates dual Nano SIMs. It also has support for Bluetooth 4.2, 3.5mm jack, USB Type C, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Hotspot and A-GPS, GLONASS.
Battery And Availability
The LG G7 Fit is powered by a non-removable 3000mAh battery with fast charging technology. LG G7 Fit will be available on shopping stores, starting from $249 to $299, that’s about (N85,000 – N100,000).
