Tech giant LG launched the LG V30S ThinQ at the 2018 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The smartphone comes with Artificial Intelligence, which is LG’s first time of testing out the new feature on a device.
The V30S ThinQ is nicknamed “Intelligent Smartphone” because of the Artificial Intelligence technology. The device was made to be an update to the LG V30 which has breathtaking features as well. Are you as excited as I am? Let’s see what the LG V30S ThinQ have in store for us today.
Beautiful and stunning, it sure looks like the LG V30 from a distance though. It sports an Aluminium Alloy overall unibody with glass covering it. The horizontal dual rear camera at the top middle gives off a certain vibe, while the dual-LED flash is ready for some fun in the dark.
There’s a rear fingerprint scanner to easily access the device and private apps. The LG logo is at the bottom corner while the V30S ThinQ inscription is in the middle. It measures 7.4mm in thickness and weighs just 158g, making it a very slim and light flagship device. It’s available in only Blue and Gray colours.
It’s bezel-less just like its predecessor, the display on the V30S ThinQ boasts of an outstanding 81.44% screen to body ratio. The bezels are super minimal and almost non-existent, but nonetheless, the tiny top bezel still houses the selfie camera and other features.
Look at how amazingly stunning the display is, the 6-Inch QHD P-OLED capacitive touchscreen boasts of a resolution of 2880 x 1440 pixels. It has a high pixel per inch density of 537, just imagine how the screen will bring out details when playing games or watching movies. The screen has Dolby Vision technology and supports VR as well.
HARDWARE and SOFTWARE
Keeping it running is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 MSM8998 chipset with Octa-core processor. The processor reaches a clock speed of 2.45 GHz, while the CPU architecture is 64-bit. In the graphics department, Qualcomm Adreno 540 is in control with 10nm process technology and a speed of 710 MHz.
Multitask through thick and thin with 6GB RAM that boasts of a memory speed of 1866 MHz. While for storage, there’s a standard version with 128GB and a much expensive variant called LG V30S Plus ThinQ with 256GB. Both versions are upgradeable up to 2TB using a memory.
Oh, the V30S ThinQ runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with LG’s UX 6.0+ skin on top.
It sports dual rear 16MP + 13MP camera with dual-LED flash as well. The 16MP shooter has f/1.6 aperture, while the 13MP has f/1.9 aperture, both will work together to capture 4K resolution photographs. Videos of 2160 pixels can be recorded at 30 frames per second, while the 5MP selfie camera comes with f/2.2 aperture and face recognition technology.
The LG V30S ThinQ is powered by a Non-Removable Li-Po 3300mAh battery. It comes with the fast charging feature and Qi wireless charging as well.
