The OnePlus was launched in Midnight Black, Mirror Black and a limited edition Silk White, while the Mi 8 gives you more colour options, it’s available in Black, Blue, White and Gold colour.

Both of the devices come with the trending notched screen no doubt. But we have to give it to the OnePlus 6 for having a tiny notch compared to the massive notch on the Mi 8. The OnePlus 6 has a 6.28-inch Optic AMOLED screen that has 1080 x 2280 pixels in resolution and 402 ppi density.
While the Mi 8 has a 6.21-inch Super AMOLED screen boasting of 1080 x 2248 pixels in resolution and the same 402 ppi density. Both screens have DCI-P3 and a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top. It’s a close call in the Display department but we love the tiny notch on the OnePlus 6.

If there’s one thing flagships are known for, it’s their photography prowess. The Mi 8 debuted at number 5 on DXOMARK, thanks to its dual 12MP + 12MP cameras with f/1.8 and f/2.4 aperture respectively. The camera boasts of 1.4µm pixel size, 4-axis OIS, dual pixel PDAF, 2x optical zoom and dual-LED flash in between.
While the OnePlus 6 sports dual 16MP + 20MP rear shooters, both has f/1.7 aperture, 1.22µm, gyro-EIS, OIS and a dual-LED flash as well. The OnePlus 6 and Mi 8 both shoot 4K videos @ 60fps. The OnePlus 6 has a 16MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture, while the Mi 8 has a 20MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture, both support Face ID.

OnePlus 6 Vs Xiaomi Mi 8 – Hardware and Software
Both devices are powered by the Snapdragon 845 chip from Qualcomm and clocks at a fast speed of 2.8GHz. The graphics are also the same on both, the Adreno 630 does its job in that department. However, the Mi 8 won on so many benchmark results in terms of performance.
In the storage and RAM department, both devices are identical as well. They both have a 6BG RAM variant, with 64/128/256GB storage variants as well. However, the 128/256GB storage variant on the OnePlus 6 has 8GB of RAM. They both run on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box as well.
