OnePlus 7T

OnePlus 7T has a 6.55-inch notched Fluid AMOLED display. The display has a pretty standard FHD+ 1080p resolution, a pixel per inch density of 402 and a 90Hz refresh rate.

It also supports HDR10+ contents. On top of the display is a corning gorilla glass 6 for protection. The notch up top houses the single front-facing camera just like its predecessor.

The back is also covered with glass leaving the sides with aluminium. OnePlus 7T has a triple rear camera setup with an LED flash all wrapped around in a circle with the OnePlus logo not too far down.

Overall, it weighs 190grams which is pretty heavy and measures 8.1mm in thickness. Colour options available are Glacier Blue and Frosted Silver. As with its predecessor, it also a dual SIM card slot and no microSD card slot for extra storage.

OnePlus 7T Camera Specs Review

OnePlus 7T is packed with 4 cameras, 3 of which are at the rear with an LED flash. The triple camera setup at the rear comprises of a 48MP main camera with an f/1.6 aperture, PDAF and OIS. This main camera is accompanied by two other cameras.

A 12MP telephoto camera with an f/2.2 aperture, PDAF and 2x optical zoom and a 16MP ultra-wide camera with an f/1.7 aperture and Auto Focus. The rear camera is equipped with an LED flash, HDR and panorama.

It can shoot 4k video at 30/60fps, 1080p videos at 30/60/240fps and 720p video at 960fps with support for auto-HDR and gyro-EIS.

As for selfies, the front-facing 16MP camera in the notch up top does the job. It has an f/2.0 aperture, can shoot 1080p videos at 30fps with support for auto-HDR and gyro-EIS as well.

Hardware and Software

In the hardware department, OnePlus 7T is rocking the highest-end chipset available right now on the Android platform. It has the Snapdragon 855+ SoC from Qualcomm which has an octa-core processor clocked at 2.96GHz paired with an Adreno 640 GPU clocked at 700MHz. This is hooked up to 8GB of RAM and comes with either 128GB or 256GB of internal storage, both of which are UFS 3.0.

It also comes with Android 10 out of the box and perhaps the first phone to do so. As expected, it is laced with OnePlus’ OxygenOS skin. OnePlus 7T still has the stereo speakers for that good sound output. Unfortunately, it lacks the 3.5mm jack.

Battery and Connectivity

Powering this device is a 3,800mAh battery with OnePlus’ proprietary 30W Warp Charge 30T which can get you up to 70% in just 30mins.

There is no 5G here but 4G LTE is present. Other features of this device include Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band WiFi, WiFi hotspot, WiFi direct, GPS, NFC and a USB Type-C port for charging and file transfer. As expected, there is no 3.5mm jack here.
