Without much fuzz, Oppo has unveiled the Oppo A74 and it comes in two variants – 4G and 5G.
The Oppo A74 4G is built around a 6.43″ AMOLED display with a standard 60Hz, 1080p+ resolution and 135Hz touch sampling rate that can be boosted to 180Hz via the gaming mode. Underneath the display is a fingerprint reader.
Inside the phone is a Snapdragon 662 chipset paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. Out of the box is an Android 11 operating system with ColorOS 11.1 UI. The device packs a 5,000 mAh battery capacity with fast charging 33W support.
The rear camera consists of a 48MP main sensor, a 2MP macro sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. The 16MP selfie camera is housed in the display’s punch-hole.
The Oppo A74 5G adds an 8MP wide-angle cam to the rear while retaining every other sensor. The phone only supports an 18W fast charging for its 5,000 mAh battery.
The A74 5G is equipped with the new Snapdragon 480 chipset which is built on a 8mm manufacturing process technology. It is paired with the same 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. The download speed offered by the 5G modem is 2.1 Gbps.
The display of this 5G variant features a 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. And the fingerprint reader is mounted at the right-side which doubles as the power button.
The Oppo A74 4G version is available for pre-order with shipping to begin April 12. The device retails for PHP 12,000/$255/€210 and can be found on Lazada and Shopee. The body colour options available are Midnight Blue and Prism Black.
