Oukitel C12 Pro has been launched as the latest budget-friendly smartphone from Oukitel for those on a budget. The device has an affordable starting price and sports the trending notched screen.

Impressively, the screen to body ratio on this beauty is one of the highest for a smartphone in its price range. There’s the standard 2GB RAM and 16GB storage option, dual rear camera and Face Unlock feature.

Design And Display

Talk about being cheap and classy, the C12 Pro wears the crown. It uses a polycarbonate body to achieve an amazing look. There’s a UV celluloid paint at the back to give it a more polished texture.

Apart from being elegant, the device sports dual rear camera at the top middle. There’s a fingerprint scanner underneath and a LED flash right beside it. It will be available in Black, Gold and Purple colours.

 

Of course, there’s a notch on top of the screen. Oukitel calls this the U-notch. Nonetheless, it dishes out a 19:9 aspect ratio offering a tall screen and an impressive screen-to-body ratio. It sports a tall 6.18-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 480 x 996 pixels and 179 pixels per inch density for clear visuals. The screen also stretches up to 81.6% screen-to-body ratio, which is impressive for a budget smartphone.

Hardware and Software

The MediaTek MT6739 takes control underneath and comes with its 28nm process technology. It’s accompanied by a 4-core processor with a clock speed of up to 1.3GHz offering smooth performance. There’s a PowerVR GE8100 graphics card handling graphics.

You get the usual 2GB of RAM space available here for multitasking through light apps. For storing files, you can store up to the 16GB storage space available or expand up to 128GB using a memory card. It runs on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo as well.

Camera, Network And Connectivity

It’s equipped with dual 8MP + 2MP rear shooters with f/2.2 + f/2.4 aperture respectively and OIS. While the 5MP selfie camera has a f/2.2 aperture and supports Face Unlock.

The C12 Pro supports 4G LTE connectivity and accommodates dual Nano SIMs. It also has support for Bluetooth 4.2, USB 2.0, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Hotspot and A-GPS, GLONASS.

The Oukitel C12 Pro is powered by a non-removable 3300mAh battery with fast charging technology. Oukitel C12 Pro will be available on shopping stores, starting from $79 to $99, that’s about (N30,000 – N35,000).
