Sony Xperia L3 is Sony’s new entry-level offering and evidently a successor to last year’s Xperia L2. This year’s Xperia L3 is also powered by a MediaTek SoC, However, it uses a 12nm based Helio P22. This is paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. It also has a 5.7-inch display, a total of 3 cameras and a 3,300mAh with fast charging support. Let’s find out more.

Sony Xperia L3 Design And Display
Sony Xperia L3 has a 5.7-inch 720p IPS LCD display and with an 18:9 aspect ratio, leaving enough room for at top and bottom. The top bezels are occupied by the front-facing camera, speaker grill and sensors. The display is also protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
At the back is also the dual camera setup with an LED flash with the fingerprint sensor mounted at the side of the device. The body of this device is made of plastic and has three colours – Black, Gold and Silver. It weighs 156 grams and measures 8.9mm in thickness. It also comes in a single SIM and Hybrid Dual SIM model.
Sony Xperia L3 Camera Review
At the back of the Sony, Xperia L3 is the 13MP wide-angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture and PDAF paired with a secondary 2MP depth sensor camera. It features an LED flash, HDR, Panorama and can shoot 1080p videos at 30fps. The single front-facing 8MP wide-angle camera with an f/2.0 aperture can also shoot 1080p videos at 30fps.

Sony Xperia L3 is equipped with a MediaTek Helio P22 SoC which has an octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz paired with a PowerVR GE8320 GPU. This is hooked up to 3GB of RAM with 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded further via a microSD card of up to 512GB. Unfortunately, the Sony Xperia L3 ships with Android 8.0 Oreo and there is no word yet on if or when it will get Android 9.0 Pie.
Battery & Network Connectivity
Powering this device is a 3,300mAh battery capacity with fast charging and support for USB PD through it’s USB Type-C port. It also has 4G LTE, dual-band WiFi, WiFi hotspot, WiFi direct, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, FM radio and a 3.5mm jack.

Official prices, as well as a release date for this device, haven’t been revealed yet but we’re expecting it sometime in Q2 alongside other newly released Sony Xperia devices.
