TECNO DrioPad 7D Unboxing and First Impression

The TECNO DroiPad 7D was recently introduced in Nigeria as the successor of the DroiPad 7C. It is another pocket-friendly tablet from TECNO tagged DroiPad Joy Life with some features upgrade compared to its predecessor and yet has an affordable price tag. The tablet is barely 48hours with us and we promise to publish the full review after we have put it to enough use. But first here is our TECNO DroiPad 7D unboxing and first impression.

The tablet is housed in a rectangular white box that has the inscription of the name of the tablet (Droipad 7D) , the brand logo and a data Bonus sticker from Etisalat and MTN.

Upon opening the box, you are immediately greeted with the device neatly packed inside the box

We opened it, and found these accessories inside.

  • 1 Power adapter
  • 1 USB cable
  • 1 Transparent case
  • 1 User guide in English language

There is no earphone on the package but it comes with a 3.5mm audio jack in case you are thinking TECNO is going the Apple way. LOL

Unlike most tablets, the charging port and the 3.5mm audio jack are located at the top for, this I guess is for easy accessibility.

It has its speakers located at the back, which may not be the best place to position a tablet’s speaker, we loved the one on the PhonePad 3 but considering the price tag it’s forgivable. The back is plated with plastic material, it’s light and comfortable in the hands.

At the right side of the DrioPad 7D are located the volume rockers and the power button

Wondering where the SIM slots and MicroSdcard tray are located!!! I was as confused as you are. You will have to prime open the tiny plastic cover at the top of the tablet. There you will find the two SIM slots (Macro SIM + Macro SIM) and another slot-where you will insert your memory card.

MY First Impression of the TECNO DrioPad 7D

The DroiPad 7D boasts of the latest Android 7.0 Nougat, 1GB of Random Access Memory and 16GB of internal storage which can be extended to 64GB via MicroSdcard. The tablet is targeted at the low end segment and is built with kids in mind,  hence the pre-installed Kid zone that allows parents to manage the type of contents and apps their kids can watch and have access to on the device. Expect more on the full review later. The tablet will will retail for N36,000 in Nigeria.

That is our Tecno DroiPad 7D unboxing and first impression, let’s have your take on the DroiPad 7D below.
