TECNO to Launch its Spark Series in India next week

It’s now official that Tecno will launch their budget Spark series in India next week. The smartphone company is reportedly targeting the entry-level segment with the Spark series.

The entry-level segment features smartphones priced between the range of Rs 5,000 to Rs 8,000. Tecno already has the Camon series and Phantom in India competing in the Rs 8,000 to Rs 10,000 and Rs 12,000 to Rs 15,000 price segment respectively.

A total of four Tecno Spark smartphones are set to launch next week. But there has been no further details about the smartphones. The company, however, promised the new Spark series will feature a bigger display, decent battery, better AI capabilities and dual VoLTE support.

Since the series is targeting the budget market, we shouldn’t hope for mind-blowing specs and features. Though some features are certain like an HD display, MediaTek Helio SoC, Android 9.0 Pie (maybe the Go edition), and decent battery capacity.

Tecno is investing in Research & Development centres across India. It is expected that this new Spark series will join the likes of Xiaomi, Realme and Samsung in the online market. So there is a good chance it drops in India popular online retail store – Flipkart.

We will have more information in the coming days regarding the four new Tecno Spark smartphones. The Tecno Phantom 9 which was released in India last month is now available on Flipkart.

The Phantom 9 is Tecno’s flagship smartphone for the year. It features a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution, HiOS 5.0 based on Android 9.0 Pie and 3500 mAh battery juice. Powering the flagship device is MediaTek Helio P35 SoC coupled with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.
