Chinese phone maker, Vivo are back with another mid-range device to add to their ever-growing portfolio of affordable smartphones. The new Vivo Y72 5G which debuted in Thailand is powered by Taiwan’s MediaTek’s Dimensity 700 5G.
The mid-ranger comes with a 6.58″ IPS LCD panel with FHD+ resolution. The display has a waterdrop notch that houses a 16MP selfie cam. For biometric authentication, there is a fingerprint reader mounted on the right-hand side which also doubles as the power button.
The triple rear camera setup of the Vivo Y72 5G consists of a 64MP primary sensor with an 8MP ultrawide sensor and a 2MP macro sensor.
The Dimensity 700 5G chipset is coupled with an 8GB RAM size and 128GB storage. On the software side, the Vivo phone runs on the company’s Funtouch OS 11.1 based on the Android 11 operating system.
The Vivo Y72 5G is available in Thailand for THB 9,999 which is about $323/€271. The first sales are scheduled for March 31 with body colour options of Dream Glow and Graphite Black.
